If the seller really bought a new fresh set of OEM inks to sell with the printer they would be practically giving the printer away.sounds fishy to me. The seller is most likely just hoping that the printer doesn't die in the first 60 days-there's no way they would cover any major costs for repairs (the print head alone costs $1,200 before labor). Epson warranties are for the the first end-user only, not transferable. The statement "refurbished by Epson" is still true but since refurbishment may have had nearly twelve months hard use before selling it again. It may well have been refurbished by Epson - but when? Nothing to stop anyone from buying a refurbished printer from Epson and then using it for a period themselves and then selling it on. I guess it is not by Epson but it was advertise as factory refurbished. If it was refurbished by Epson it comes with a one year warranty.

It was refurbished by Epson and has only 60 days warranty. However, I have no idea if this would apply since your buying over ebay from a previous owner. Normally there is a 1 year warranty on Epson Refurbished printers. Refurbished by whom ? If it is refurbished by Epson it should be ok but that is not a great discount as compared to when I purchased the 3880 new at $820 delivered. I was only interested in 3800 but ended up with 3880. It is too late now but am wondering if it was a good deal. I placed a Bid on ebay and never thought I will win but I ended up winning because I was the only person to bid for it.
